Lynette Aspey is a writer of science fiction and fantasy.
She lives with her husband and young daughter onboard a 43ft steel ketch, currently based in the Caribbean.
Lyn was born in Australia in 1965 and grew up amidst beaches, horses, sunshine and books.

She went walkabout in her early twenties and discovered her love of boats somewhere along the way. There is a circumnavigation written in her future but for now Lyn is too busy writing, homeschooling, battling rust, drinking beer and enjoying the Caribbean to consider a Pacific crossing … just yet.
A graduate of the ClarionWest Writer’s Workshop (class of 2002), and a marketing-career escapee, Lyn has published stories in Aurealis, Asimov’s and two Best of Anthologies. She is currently in the process of uploading her short fiction onto Smashwords.
Hobbies include interdimensional travel, mind-melding with fellow SF&F geeks and sailing.
